The vision of Partee Elementary School’s Comprehensive School Counseling Program is for all students to become lifelong learners and world-class citizens by providing appropriate guidance support and responsive services to all students. Through a collaborative culture of active consultation with teachers, parents, administrators, and community organizations, students will be equipped to compete in a global society.

The mission of Partee Elementary School comprehensive counseling program is to cultivate and nurture a desire for academic and behavioral excellence in all students while encouraging responsible decision-making, embracing cultural diversity, and developing a positive self-concept. The counselor will facilitate in providing skills to enhance the personal, social, academic and career development of all students in order to be productive, contributing members of a global society.

• All students have diverse strengths, needs, and abilities that contribute to their academic, personal, social and career goals.
• Students developmental needs are addressed through interventions in academic, career, and personal/social domains.
• School Counselors role is to recognize student abilities and assist them in maximizing their potential, equip students with the skills necessary for them to achieve their academic and career goals, help students develop a healthy self-concept and acceptance of individual differences.
• School counselors provide equal access to counseling services in order to close the achievement gap by providing knowledge, skills, and opportunities for students.
• The School Counseling Program helps build a positive school environment by encouraging collaboration among counselors, teachers, administrators, parents and the community to eliminate barriers and further student achievement.
• School counselors collect, analyze and present statistics about grades, test scores, attendance and disciplinary records, and other information to make data-driven decisions about the school counseling program.
• The American School Counselor Association Ethical Standards should guide the work of the School Counseling program and the School Counselors.
