What is Play 2 Learn?

This program is focused on building the capacity in parents to be their child’s first teacher as well as providing an opportunity for students to be in a group setting.

Caregivers bring child(ren) (ages birth to five) to a 90-minute session each week.

Activities are modeled and facilitated by a certified staff member utilizing best practices for readiness skills in Communication, Language and Literacy, Cognitive Development, Social-Emotional Development, Approaches to Play and Learning and Motor Skill Development.

Approximately 20 students are in the class and parents remain with children for the entire session.

Who can attend Play 2 Learn?

Children ages birth to 5 years old (if not in kindergarten yet) and their parents or caregivers who live within the Partee district.

When and where will it take place?

Play 2 Learn classes will take place at Partee Elementary School on Wednesdays from 9:00-10:30AM until it is full (20) and then a second class will be added at 11:30-1:00PM.

How do I sign up?

Online Registration (OLR) for Play 2 Learn students is now available.  Parents/guardians interested in enrolling their child in Play 2 Learn must complete the Online Registration process using ParentVUE.

• Parents/guardians with an existing ParentVUE Account should login to their account to complete OLR.

• Parents/guardians new to GCPS should create a new ParentVUE Account.

• Parents/guardians should select Online Registration and choose option 9. Play 2 Learn (Birth to 5 Years Old).

• Parents/guardians should then contact the school to confirm that space is available in the program, schedule an appointment to review the registration, and verify all required documents to complete the enrollment process.
