Joyful Learning Academy
For the 2026-27 school year, Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) will open an early learning center called Joyful Learning Academy, housed at the Gwinnett Community Resource Center at 3025 Bethany Church Rd in Snellville. There will be preschool classes for three-yearolds, as well as Pre-K classes for four-year-olds. Families who live in the Shiloh Cluster attendance zone may enter their child in the Joyful Learning Academy Lottery if they are interested in their child attending.
Things to know about Joyful Learning Academy...
- A child must be 3 years old on or before September 1, 2026 to enter the lottery and attend the preschool program. A child must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2026, to enter the lottery and attend the Pre-K program.
- Spots are open to those who reside in the Shiloh cluster attendance zone (zoned for Anderson-Livsey ES, Annistown ES, Centerville ES, Partee ES, Shiloh MS, Shiloh HS).
- No transportation is provided for Joyful Learning Academy.
- Joyful Learning Academy is a full-time program. It will follow the GCPS calendar and the hours will be 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
About the Joyful Learning Academy Lottery:
Apply online for the 2026-2027 Lottery, open June 2nd - June 17th, go to www.gcpsk12.org/programs-andservices/early-learning-0-5-years/pre-k to sign up your child for the Joyful Learning Academy Lottery. Entering the lottery does not guarantee your child a spot in the program.
However, it ensures that your child will be included in the lottery process. The application to sign up your child to be included in the lottery closes on June 17 at 5 p.m.
The GCPS Lottery for Joyful Learning Academy will be held on June 23. Students will be selected at random through a digital lottery process. Once the available slots are filled, the names of the remaining children will be placed on the waiting list based on their position in the lottery for the school.

As part of Gwinnett County Public Schools’ family engagement initiative, the school district seeks to empower parents with tools that allow them to help their children at home. Our AKS at Home project provides math and language arts resources to support families so that they truly are partners in their children’s learning. This support is available for families to access in the format that fits them and their schedule best. They can attend live virtual meetings, view recorded information at a time that best fits their schedule, or gain tips and suggestions on how to best help their students through tip sheets on a wide variety of topics.
